Motorist charged by police after 41-year-old woman injured in Residenzplatz, Salzburg

A 41-year-old Austrian artist was run over by a car while she carried out a ‘reclining performance’ in Residenzplatz, Salzburg, The Local reports. The artist had been warned by passersby that lying on the road was dangerous, police say, but was undeterred.
A 71-year-old motorist then drove over the artist. He told the police that he thought the obstruction was a doll and decided to drive over it – only stopping when he heard screams. The motorist has since been charged by police with driving causing negligent bodily harm and the injured artist was taken to Salzburg University Hospital.
