Alice Godwin is a British arts writer, editor and researcher, specialising in modern and contemporary periods of British and European art. She is an art history graduate from the University of Oxford and the Courtauld Institute of Art. Previously working for Gagosian in London as a writer and researcher, Alice penned an essay for the 2021 exhibition catalogue Damien Hirst: Fact Paintings and Fact Sculptures. In 2022 Alice moved to Copenhagen and now shines a light on the Nordic art scene, contributing to such publications as Apollo, Artforum, The Brooklyn Rail, Frieze, Gagosian Quarterly and Wallpaper. Alice has written essays for Scandinavian galleries and museums including Bo Bjerggaard, Susanne Ottesen, Alice Folker, Fotografisk Center and Kunstmuseum Brandts.
