The third edition of the Islamic Arts Biennale will be lead by a team of four curators, the Diriyah Biennale Foundation announced today.
Taking the helm will be Nada Raza, Director of the Alserkal Arts Foundation; William Robinson, formerly head of the Islamic Art department at Christie’s; Alain Fouad George, I. M. Pei Professor of Islamic Art and Architecture at the University of Oxford and Director of the Lusail Institute in Doha; and Idries Trevathan, former Chief Curator of the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture in Dhahran.
Held at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Arts Biennale aims to trace the ‘tangible and intangible influences of the Muslim world’.
The third edition will open on 1 November 2027.
