
Manuel Rabaté has been appointed CEO and director of the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA), Delhi, the museum has announced. He will start his role in early spring 2026.
Rabaté has been the inaugural director of the Louvre Abu Dhabi since 2016. He was involved in the project since the start as, successively, CFO, secretary general and CEO of Agence France-Muséums, an agency founded in 2007 to promote museum collaboration between France and the UAE. Previously, he was deputy director of cultural development at the Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac, Paris, and taught arts and cultural management at Paris-Dauphine University and Paris-Sorbonne University, Abu Dhabi.
Founded in 2010, KNMA is a private museum of modern and contemporary art supported by the Shiv Nadar Foundation. Rabaté joins at a key moment in the museum’s expansion, as it is working to complete its new 100,000sqm campus initially scheduled to open in 2026.
