Klaudio Rodriguez has been named the next Executive Director and CEO of The Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg in Florida.

Rodriguez joins the MFA from the the Bronx Museum, which he joined in 2017 and currently serves its director. During his tenure he lead the museum through the transition period during the pandemic and launched a $33 million renovation project, to be completed in 2026.

Prior to the Bronx Museum, Rodriguez was Chief Curator at The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum at Florida International University in Miami.

‘It is especially meaningful to return to the region where I was raised and began my career in arts and culture,’ Rodriguez says in a statement. ‘I truly believe that the MFA is well-positioned to enrich lives through art, foster impactful dialogue, and create inclusive spaces for all.’

Rodriguez will assume his new role in October.
