Defne Ayas and Natasha Ginwala have released an initial artist list for their Gwangju Biennal. Titled Minds Rising, Spirits Tuning, the exhibition is to take the subjects of ‘superintelligence’ and the ‘extended mind’ as its starting point, posing questions including ‘Where precisely can organic intelligence be found?’ and ‘To what extent can it be pursued in the human brain and also in the heart, as 마음, the Korean term, would imply?’
