Ukrainian artist Zhanna Kadyrova, whose work features large-scale sculptures using mosaic, has won the $12,500 (£7,600) 2013 Pinchuk Art Centre Prize, The Art Newspaper reports.
The biennial award, which acknowledges the work of a Ukrainian artists age 35 or under, also includes a one-month residency in the studio of an international artist plus automatic entry on to the shortlist for next year’s Pinchuk Art Centre Future Generation Art Prize, which is open to young artists of all nationalities.
