Less than a year after its opening, Singapore Pinacothèque de Paris has closed its doors permanently, Art Asia Pacific reports. Founded by Modigliani scholar, Marc Restellini, the French museum’s Singapore location was its first international outpost. A spokesperson for Art Heritage Singapore has said the closure is due to lack of visitors and other financial challenges.

This latest closure follows the shutting down of Restellini’s original nine-year-old Pinacothèque de Paris in February – also as a result of financial problems which include unpaid loans.
