Quincy Houghton named new associate director for exhibitions at The Met

Thomas P. Campbell, director and CEO of The Met, has announced today that Quincy Houghton (currently the associate director for exhibitions at the J. Paul Getty Museum) will be joining the New York City museum this summer. After working with the J. Paul Getty Museum for more than a decade, Houghton (whose repertoire of exhibitions include Robert Mapplethorpe: The Perfect Medium in 2016, Power and Pathos: Bronze Sculpture from the Hellenistic World in 2015 and Drawings by Rembrandt and His Pupils: Telling the Difference in 2010), will take up the same role at The Met, organising their programme of exhibitions. She will succeed Jennifer Russell, who will retire this spring from The Met.
