Fatoş Üstek appointed director of David Roberts Art Foundation

The David Roberts Art Foundation has appointed Fatoş Üstek as director. The private non-profit institution, founded by Roberts, an art collector and property developer, sold its gallery premises in north London last year, announcing that is will instead stage temporary programming throughout the UK. Üstek, who curated Art Night, an annual festival of live commissions in London, will programme the eleventh edition of DRAF’s Evening of Performances at KOKO, London, in October. DRAF also announced an exhibition of works from Roberts’ collection at Mostyn in North Wales, and that independent curator Victor Wang will organise an exhibition looking at Japanese, Korean Taiwanese and Chinese performance movements in 1960s and 70s at partner venues around the UK. DRAF’s previous director, Vincent Honoré, left the organisation in October for London’s Hayward Gallery, where he is currently senior curator.
