The theme for the fifth Asian Biennial, set to open on 19 September at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, will be Artist Making Movement. Curated by Iris Shu-Ping Huang, the Biennal will strive to reflect on the rapidly changing socio-political contexts in Asia, and how this translates into an active and dynamic stance in contemporary art production. The show will focus on Asian artists who engage in various social relations through their artistic process, positioning themselves actively as mediators or transformers.
The fifth Asian Art Biennial: Artist Making Movement, will run from 19 September through 6 December 2015 at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Taichung City. See here for full curatorial statement.
