Contemporary Art Centre Vilnius has announced that Vincent Honoré will curate the 13th edition of the Baltic Triennial, set to take place in 2018. Marking the centenary of the Baltic countries (who all regained their independence between 1917–18 from German and Russian empires), this edition will, for the first time, take place across three institutions, each representing one country: CAC Vilnius (Lithuania), Kim? Riga (Latvia) and CCA Tallinn (Estonia).
Honoré has been director and curator of London’s David Roberts Arts Foundation since 2007, and previously served as a curator at Palais de Tokyo in Paris (2001–4) and at Tate Modern in London (2004–7). In a statement, Honoré said the 2018 edition will explore ‘infiltrations, displacements, and hybridisations as valid forms of production’.
