Godfrey Worsdale has been appointed the new director of the Henry Moore Foundation, succeeding Richard Calvocoressi, who is retiring after eight years in the role.
Worsdale, who is currently director of BALTIC in Gateshead will take up the appointment in July. Yorkshire born Worsdale trained as an art historian and conservator in London and began his career in the early 1990s at the British Museum. Subsequent posts include director of Southampton City Art Gallery and founding director of Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (MIMA).
