The Skulptur Projekte, taking place in Münster from 10 June to 1 October, has announced the list of participating artists for its fifth edition. The 35 artists, coming from 19 different countries, will present artworks ranging from sculpture to performative art throughout the city. Taking place every ten years, the project was initiated by Klaus Bußmann and Kasper König in 1977 to reflect on the role of art in the public sphere through proposals for temporary projects in the urban space. This year’s edition is curated by Britta Peters, a freelance curator from Hamburg, and Marianne Wagner, curator of contemporary art at the LWL-Museum für Kunst und Kultur, in collaboration with König.
