Iwan Wirth has confirmed plans to open a gallery space in Hong Kong. The two-storey 930 square metre space (located in Central’s new H Queens development, and designed by CL3 Architects) will be co-directed by Vanessa Guo, Hauser & Wirth’s senior director of Asia, and Lihsin Tsai, who has recently been managing Qiao Space in Shanghai. The gallery itself will be designed by architect Annabella Selldorf, who has worked with Hauser & Wirth since 1996 on a number of renovations across six sites. Alongside the Hong Kong gallery, Wirth announced an additional two offices in Beijing and Shanghai with hopes that they will be operational from October 2017. The gallery is expected to open in Spring 2018.
