The Stockholm museum Moderna Museet, which has one of the world’s most valuable Duchamp collection, has now acquired Ulf Linde’s archive of Duchamp’s work, composed of sketches, letters, as well as photographs and books signed by the artist. A Swedish art critic, Linde met Duchamp in 1961 as the latter was visiting Stockholm; they engaged in an intense collaboration, during which Linde created replicas of almost all of Duchamp’s key works.
To celebrate this acquisition, Moderna Museet will be running a three-day symposium, inviting curators, specialists and scholars to discuss the legacy of Duchamp.
Duchamp and Sweden symposium will take place on 28–30 April at Moderna Museet.
