The Bronx Museum of the Arts has announced its plans for an architectural redesign, Artnews reports. The upgrade, which will be funded by the NYC department of cultural affairs, will mean more space for the museum’s exhibitions and public programme. The city’s department of design and construction, who will oversee the process, has selected Venezuelan architect Monica Ponce de Leon to design the museum’s South Wing Atrium (to be renamed the Gallery Cube). The redesign is estimated to cost $25 million.
