PinchukArtCentre has announced the 16 artists shortlisted for the fourth edition of the PinchukArtCentre Prize, which rewards every two years the work of a Ukranian artist under 35.
The nominated artists will be on show at the PinchukArtCentre from 31 October through mid-January 2016, they include: Yevgenia Belorusets, Daniil Galkin, Mykola Karabinovych, Alina Kleitman, Daria Koltsova, Kinder Album, Sergii Melnychenko, Roman Mykhailov, Sergiy Petlyuk, Mykola Ridnyi, Ivan Svitlychnyi, Sergiy Yakimenko, Ekaterina Yermolaeva, Anna Zvyagintseva and artists collective Melnychuk-Burlaka Group (Ivan Melnychuk, Oleksandr Burlaka) and Open Group (Yuri Bieliey, Pavlo Kovach, Anton Varga).
The winner of the main prize will receive UAH 100,000 (approx. £3,000) and a place on the shortlist for the Future Generation Art Prize – international prize for young artists, while the two winners of the special prizes will be offered UAH 25,000 (approx. £700); both the main and special prize winners will have a one-month residency in studios of internationally renowned artists. The winners of the prize will be announced in December 2015.
