The Centre Pompidou in Paris has been closed to the public since Monday, due to a workers’ strike, BFMTV reports. A similar action took place earlier this month, as a result of the passing of a new governmental law looking to change the status of museum workers from a contract-basis, which has been in place since the opening of the museum 40 years ago, to being civil servants. Workers are worried it might translate into lower salaries.
