The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, has announced plans to revise its current admissions policy. The institution, which currently still operates with pay-as-you-wish admission, will soon introduce a mandatory fee of $25 per adult (concessions available), while admission for residents of New York State and students from New Jersey and Connecticut will continue to be pay-as-you-wish. To make the most of full-priced tickets, the Met have also announced that these will be valid for three consecutive days to allow visitors to spend more time at the museum’s three locations. Admissions for under-12s will continue to be free.
