The Rose Art Museum in Massachusetts has announced that JJ PEET (ArtReview Future Great 2013) will receive the 2016 Ruth Ann and Nathan Perlmutter artist-in-residence award – a prize which seeks to promote younger artists. The New York-based artist also works with installation, video, painting, and sculpture, using found materials to reflect upon contemporary life and his relationships with others. PEET has held solo exhibitions at The Contemporary Austin, Austin, TX; Gallery Diet, Miami, FL; On Stellar Rays, New York, NY; and Redling Fine Arts, Los Angeles, CA. His residency will take place at the Rose Art Museum’s satellite gallery Rosebud through April and May.
