
Rebekka Seubert has been appointed director of the Ludwig Forum for International Art in Aachen, Germany.
Following her studies in art and cultural sciences in Hamburg, Brussels, Clermont-Ferrand and Regensburg, Rebekka Seubert became curatorial assistant at Portikus Frankfurt and the Bonner Kunstverein, Bonn. She has also taught at the HFBK, Hamburg and initiated a series of exhibitions at the Warburg House, Hamburg. In 2020, she began her current role as artistic director of the Dortmunder Kunstverein, where she oversaw around 25 new productions with artists including Lucy Raven, George Adéagbo, Brice Dellsperger and Mariana Castillo Deball.
‘I am very excited about the challenge of leading the Ludwig Forum into its next chapter and shaping this journey together with the team, the Friends of the museum, and the local community’, said Seubert in a statement from the museum. ‘My goal is to use art to bring people from the city and beyond into dialogue and to inspire them.’
She will begin the role on 1 March 2026.
