Rosa Barba wins 2026 Zurich Art Prize

Haus Konstruktiv and Zurich Insurance Company Ltd have awarded the annual Zurich Art Prize to Rosa Barba. She will receive CHF 100,000 to produce a solo exhibition as well as a cash prize of CHF 30,000.

Barba is a Berlin-based Italian artist who works between film, sculpture and installation to explore processes of transformation, perception and incorporation in both the material and conceptual sense. Since 2023, she has been professor of Art in Space and Time at the ETH Zurich Department of Architecture. Her work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions at the MoMA, New York; MALI Museo, Lima; Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam; Centre Pompidou, Paris; Tate Modern, London; Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin; Pirelli Hangar Bicocca, Milan; Museo Reina Sofia, Madrir; Vienna Secession and Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt.
