London gallery to turn into a pop-up walk-in vaccination centre this Friday
London’s Tate Modern is to transform into a pop-up walk-in COVID-19 vaccination centre this Friday evening, with first and second Pfizer jabs available for people aged over 18.
No appointment or GP registration is needed, nor is proof of address. The mass vaccination will take place on 16 July from 5-9pm. Second doses are only on offer to those who have had their first more than eight weeks ago.
Tate Modern director Frances Morris said: ‘Everyone at Tate Modern is delighted to be doing our bit for the vaccine roll-out. Friday evening’s pop-up vaccine centre in the Turbine Hall will help hundreds of people protect themselves, their friends and their families, as well as being able to enjoy exclusive access to our galleries for the night. I hope as many people as possible take up this opportunity and book now.’
