The French artist talks to Mark Rappolt, editor-in-chief at ArtReview, on the occasion of his solo show at Lazinc gallery in London, founded by Steve Lazarides and Wissam Al Mana.
In his work, the award-winning Paris-based artist combines elements of both photography and graffiti. In 2016 he created a series of outdoor sculptures for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, depicting athletes whose identities were blurred behind the motion of Olympic events such as diving, high jump and swimming. Titled The GIANTS, the series is presented in the debut exhibition at Lazinc’s new flagship gallery in Mayfair, 12 January – 28 February 2018.
The talk was held on 9 January 2018, 7pm, Lazinc, 29 Sackville St, Mayfair, London W1S 3DX
