Fi Churchman

Fi Churchman is Editor at ArtReview. Her writing focuses on photography and moving image (though her areas span contemporary art, literature and food culture, too). Since joining the magazine in 2016, she has interviewed and written features on photographers such as Tyler Mitchell, Dayanita Singh, Yuki Kihara, Annie Leibovitz, William Eggleston, Tim Walker, Catherine Opie, Stephen Shore, Claudia Andujar and more. She has organised and participated in several public talks programmes with ArtReview, including: ‘Art and Incarceration’ (part of Archie Moore’s Golden Lion-winning Australian Pavilion programme, 2024); ‘In Conversation with Nikhil Chopra’ (Asia Now, 2024); ‘Art & Tech: Protecting Artists and Enabling Creativity’ (DACS, 2024); ‘In Conversation with Oscar Murillo’ (David Zwirner, 2024). She was the editor for Troika’s monograph Untertage (2024). Prior to her role at ArtReview, she worked at Tate Etc. and Eye Magazine. Prior to this she worked in pastry.
