Artists Flaka Haliti, Hanne Lippard and Calla Henkel & Max Pitegoff are the receipients of the 2016 ars viva Fine Arts Prize. Awarded annually by the Association of Arts and Culture of the German Economy for the past sixty years, this prize celebrates the work of young artists living in Germany. It consists of a series of three exhibitions organised at leading art institutions in Germany and abroad accompanied by a bilingual catalogue, a collector’s edition, as well as a cash prize of 5,000 EUR.
The ars viva exhibition will start in the Städtische Galerie Karlsruhe (9 October – 7 January 2016), and subsequently tour to the Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst Leipzig (20 February – 17 April 2016) and Index – The Swedish Contemporary Art Foundation in Stockholm (4 June – 21 August 2016).
