Adrian Cheng, the Hong-Kong based entrepreneur, art collector and founder of the K11 Art Foundation has announced the launch of a new investment fund, C Ventures, which will targets millennial and Gen Z-focused brands in China.
Informed by research conducted into the trends that are shaping consumer profiles, C Ventures will focus on technology driven brands working across art, media and fashion. The fund currently holds investments in art auction website Paddle8, media channel Dazed, entertainment company SkyBound, social media platform Galore, fitness and beauty hubs Bandier and Beautycon and luxury fashion rental services Armarium and Flont, including a recent investment into the relatively new Not Just A Label, a community and ecommerce site promoting young talent in contemporary fashion.
A statement released by C Ventures positions the fund as ‘the only cultural ecosystem that answers to the increasingly sophisticated and peer influenced wants of the new Chinese super consumers who are currently leading the paradigm shift in global retail behaviour.’
