Katia Baudin, who is currently deputy director of the Ludwig Museum in Cologne, has been appointed director of Germany’s Kunstmuseen Krefeld. She will replace her predecessor, Dr. Martin Hentschel, in September 2016, who leaves after a 14-year tenure.
Born in France, Baudin previously led the contemporary art museum FRAC Nord-Pas de Calais in Dunkirk (1997– 2004), before serving as rector of the Ecole supérieure des arts décoratifs in Strasbourg (2004–2007).
